2012 Band Jamboree! Postponed to Tuesday, June 12th at 6pm on the High School Football Field with a 5:15pm Instrument Petting Zoo for 2nd and 3rd Graders!
"I've been in band since the fourth grade and it has really helped me open up. I've met so many great people through this program and it is a really great thing to be a part of."
-Audrey T, Grade 9 Clarinet
"You make so many new friends and always have a good time! It also changes the way you hear music. After band, I noticed that I started being able to read the rythm, beat, and timing of everyday music I hear on the radio."
-Olivia H., Grade 8 Flute
"Throughout the 5 years that I have done band, it has changed me in a variety ways. When I started playing an instrument I was just about the least patient person you would have ever met. But, through all of the practicing and playing, I have learned to become significantly more patient. Band has also opened up a window of opportunities and friendships that will last a lifetime. Even I admit that I had a struggle choosing whether or not to stay with band throughout the years. But now looking back upon it, I realize that I made the absolute right choice to stay with it. Now, not a minute of time is spent thinking about what could have been. The Pentucket High School band takes playing an instrument to a new level of skill and excitement. Every day we play out instruments for as long as we possibly can and are even given a final and midterm exam. The high school band takes an honors level course to a whole new level. Throughout the years, the Pentucket band program has always been there supporting me every step of the way. Overall, being part of the Pentucket has helped me learn and grow. I will never forget the times that I had in band that have changed who I am forever."
-Owen M., Grade 9 Alto Saxophone
