Crash N' Bash
Group Reflection
At first when viewing this artwork, we simply saw random shapes and colors in a form of anarchy. When we took a deeper gander into the portrait’s qualities. We realized that beneath the picture’s chaotic semblance, it in fact contains a controlled organized checkered pattern. At last observance we found that many of the shapes were within other shapes. The painting was much more organized than we first thought.
This painting sounds like a song both chaotic and organized at the same time. We could represent this with a solemn intro, and end with a triumphant burst of sixteenth notes and a fast paced finish. The checkered pattern represents the solemn controlled intro, but the random shapes of many sizes represent the chaotic part of the song. We used guitar chords to show the controlled part of the song and we used the trumpet to show the other part of the song. We thought about the picture when creating this song and tried to portray it through the music as art and music can both express emotions.
